Lawyering Project Strategic Plan 2022 – 2027

On September 28, 2022, the Lawyering Project released our first-ever strategic plan to coincide with the five-year anniversary of our founding.

Coming three months after the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned nearly fifty years of precedent recognizing abortion access as a fundamental right, our plan lays out the Lawyering Project’s strategic vision for expanding abortion access and restoring legal protection for abortion rights. Embodying the Lawyering Project’s spirit of resilience and unflagging commitment to reproductive justice, the plan calls on us to increase support for people striving to obtain, provide, and facilitate abortion care, and to reshape reproductive rights jurisprudence, situating it on a stronger and more progressive foundation.
