Rebecca is dedicated to protecting and advancing gender equality and advocating for broadscale gender justice. Prior to joining the Lawyering Project, Rebecca interned at Human Rights First as well as Global Justice Center, where she co-authored an article on human rights abuses against women in Afghanistan. Rebecca received her J.D. from CUNY School of Law, trained in CUNY’s Human Rights & Gender Justice Clinic, and finished her legal training as a Pro Bono Scholar through the New York State Unified Court System. Before practicing law, Rebecca worked in corporate management for over a decade. She earned her M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and B.A. from Calvin University.
