Kiera is a Legal Fellow working on the Lawyering Project’s Access & Innovation team. Prior to her fellowship at the Lawyering Project, Kiera was a Legal Fellow at the ACLU’s Trone Center for Justice and Equality. During her fellowship, she worked on civil rights challenges to involuntary commitment, the criminalization of abortion, and the criminalization of homelessness.
She received both her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia. In law school, Kiera represented clients on Medicaid as part of UVA’s Health and Disability Law Clinic. Kiera interned with the ACLU’s Disability Rights Program and the New York Lawyers for the Public Interest Health Justice Program.
Kiera is licensed to practice law in New York.
