Juanluis “Pepis” Rodriguez (he/him/his) is a Litigation Counsel. Pepis is dedicated to combatting state control and marginalization of communities based on gender and sexuality. He was previously a Staff Attorney at The Center for HIV Law and Policy, where his work focused on HIV criminalization and sexual health for youth in state custody. Pepis received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where, as part of the International Women’s Human Rights Clinic, he helped develop a constitutional challenge to Kenyan laws that discriminate against unwed mothers and their children. He received his B.A. from the University of Florida, where he studied Sociology, Gender Studies, and Philosophy.
