Cassie manages the Lawyering Project’s Pro Bono Initiatives Program and the Abortion Defense Network, a collaborative project to connect abortion providers and supporters with the legal resources they need to navigate the post-Roe legal landscape. Before joining the Lawyering Project, Cassie was a partner at a union-side labor law firm where she advanced protections for working people through litigation, alternative dispute resolution, collective bargaining, coalition building, and legal advice. She began her legal career clerking for Chief Justice Deborah Poritz of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Cassie is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Cornell Law School.
