Amanda Allen

Deputy Executive Director for Legal Programs

Amanda Allen (she/her/hers) is Deputy Executive Director for Legal Programs. Amanda co-founded the Lawyering Project in 2017 and oversees the organization’s Access & Innovation Program. Amanda has spent her legal career advocating for meaningful access to reproductive health services. Before joining the Lawyering Project, she held several positions at the Center for Reproductive Rights, including overseeing the Center’s state and local policy and advocacy initiatives. She also held positions with the National Institute for Reproductive Health, the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum as a Georgetown Law & Public Policy Fellow, and If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice. Amanda received a J.D. from CUNY School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Minnesota. Amanda’s writing on the intersections between miscarriagepostpartum mental health, and abortion access have appeared in the New York Times and Elle. Amanda serves on the Board of Directors for the Abortion Care Network.

Amanda is licensed to practice law in California and New York.
