Ariana Camara

Legal Counsel for Pro Bono Initiatives

Ariana Camara (she/her) is Legal Counsel for Pro Bono Initiatives. Prior to joining the Lawyering Project, she was an If/When/How Federal Reproductive Justice Fellow, where she advocated for expanded insurance coverage for immigrant communities, and the removal of the Hyde Amendment from the federal budget. During law school, Ariana worked with Reproductive Freedom for All, advocating for increased access to abortion care at the state level. She was also a student attorney at the Alona Cortese Elder Law Clinic, where she assisted clients with Medicare issues, elder abuse, and end-of-life planning. Before law school, Ariana worked with Jane’s Due Process, helping teens navigate access to contraceptives and abortion care in Texas. Ariana received her B.S. from The University of Texas at Austin and her J.D. from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law.

Ariana is licensed to practice law in California.
